The Castro regime, the “Masters of Excuses”
Can anyone picture the Castro regime working out the details and discussing over the strategy they will be taking for this sit-down talks in Havana (Reuters and Marc Frank) :
(Reuters) – U.S. and Cuban officials sat down on Wednesday for a fresh round of migration talks that have been overshadowed by the case of an American contractor jailed in Havana on suspicion of espionage.
Little progress is expected in the negotiations, which focus on ways to prevent mass exoduses of Cubans but also serve as the most important regular contact between the two countries.
The meeting in Havana is the fourth since U.S. President Barack Obama came to office. Talks ended with little agreement in June after U.S. officials protested the jailing of Alan Gross, an American development contractor who was arrested in December 2009.
The Gross case has proved a sticking point in U.S.-Cuban relations, with U.S. diplomats saying his imprisonment is preventing attempts by Washington to improve ties with Cuba.
U.S. Deputy Assistant Secretary of State of Western Hemisphere Affairs Roberta Jacobson is leading the American delegation. The talks concern a 1994 agreement to maintain orderly migration and avoid repeats of the 1980 Mariel boatlift and 1994 wave of boat people.
In past meetings, Cuba has asked to send more consular agents to the United States, while the United States has pushed for an end to travel restrictions for diplomats in both countries.
Cuba also wants an end to the U.S. policy of granting Cubans who reach U.S. shores almost automatic residency, which Havana says encourages illegal and dangerous migration.
The immigration talks were renewed in July 2009, five years after U.S. President George W. Bush canceled them....Read the Rest
How are we going to work on these idiots? What angle are we going to take this time? Who will we blame for lack of progress? How can we keep this Embargo working in our favor? How will we stall America for another 10 years? Again and again, with there repetitive excuses, the Castro regime always finds a way to keep the embargo alive. Although, the economy in Cuba is deeply in trouble, the hierarchy is well taken care of. Not to mention, the Euro is stronger than the American dollar. Excuses, excuses, that’s all. Everything but the only real truth, that the whole problem is the Castro regime itself. The real reason why the Cuban citizen has to live like a dog is because of them and their diabolical system. Constantly holding the Cuban citizen for ransom and using their lack of freedom as a tool for negotiating. The Castro regime, along with the help of the Useful American Idiot protesting on their behalf, has been playing this game for 52 years. And for what? Could it be the embargo? No and does it make a difference anyway?
But why blame the failure and/or success of the embargo on the United States? Why aren’t the European nations participating in this embargo. If they would have been involved, the Castro clan would be helpless and gone, a long time ago. Either way, embargo lifting or no embargo lifting, the innocent Cuban citizens are the ones suffering, that’s for sure. Just the same, if the Castro regime was not there at all and the people were allowed to travel freely on their own. Conduct their own business with whoever they felt like, so they would be able to profit the most and so maybe they would be able to spend some vacation time on the beautiful beach resorts with their family. Yes, if only the Cuban citizens would be allowed to participate and vote every four years for a candidate that would help their grave situation. If only the Cuban citizens would have the opportunity to voice their opinion on the embargo issue and with their opinion of the way the Castro regime is handling the negotiations.
How can the Castro regime have the serious face to negotiate the US embargo on Cuba when the people, which they are suppose to be representing, are living under the longest “Governmental Embargo” in history. How can you make any kind of deal with the Castro regime? Looking at the embargo as a realistic solution is just a dream. Concentrating on the realistic reason why the Cuban citizens are and have been living in slave conditions for the last 52 years, this for sure, would be more of an interesting topic to negotiate. Let’s stop making excuses already, the embargo is not the reason why and we all know this to be, the absolute truth.
